Benefits Member
participation is supported primarily through member meetings, and
technical working groups allowing members the opportunity to choose
those areas of specifications development they are most interested
in. Each working group designates a chairperson and conducts its
work via conference calls and use of a listserv. The Initiative
holds an average of two to three member meetings each year (two in
North America, and one in Europe) often in concert with our
endorsement of related industry conferences. These meetings are used
to share new industry developments influencing BPM standards
development, provide members a chance to review and discuss the
Initiative's specifications work, and set aside important
face-to-face meeting time for working groups. By endorsing
industry-related conferences, BPMI.org is able to offer members
significant discounts on conference attendance fees and/or exhibitor
rates depending on their interest. It's another way the Initiative
strives to maximize the benefit of attending member meetings and
promote active participation. Class A (corporate) This full membership provides your organization with voting rights on both the corporate governance level (e.g., board elections, bylaws amendments, ratification of specifications), and within any working groups or special committees employees of your organization participate. The annual non-refundable fee is $5,000.00.Class A members are provided a website presence, i.e., your company logo, link, and optional quote are displayed on the website identifying your organization as a member of the Initiative. Employees of a Class A member may hold any position on the board of directors, as an officer, or in any working groups or special committees provided they have their organization's explicit support. The individual may not be identified through their company affiliation. While Class B individuals are welcome to attend member meetings and participate in working groups, they do not have voting rights. Class B members may, however, hold any position on the board of directors, as an officer, or in any working groups or special committees. Class B individuals are not provided a presence on the website. Class C (non-profit organizations, academic institutions, professional trade associations)
