Hi Friends,

On page No. 70 and 71 behavior of independent subprocess is given. I'm not able to understand it's behvior and instantiation of called process. Can some one explain me in simpler language how these two subprocess works and in practicle situation where it is required?

Hi Masood,

to my understanding, an BPMN Independent Sub-Process is a element referencing a Process which resides in another diagram (BPD).
This is also why, global process data cannot be share among these 2 Processes unless you pass it using InputPropertyMaps/OutputPropertyMaps attributes.

In contrast to the Independent Sub-Process, the Embedded Sub-Process resides in the same BPD and is able to access global process data with other process activities.
